White Paper for United States Senators and Representatives
Enzyme Potentiated Desensitization (EPD),
The American EPD Study: 1993-2000
W.A. Schrader, Jr., M.D. and Randall E. Wilkinson, M.D.,
September 2001; revised 10.15.01
The above paper summarizes the US data collected while
EPD was in use with Investigational Review
Board oversight. Patients reported the progress
of symptoms on a subjective basis for all conditions from which
they suffered, not only those for which they were being treated
with EPD. The study groups together all patients, whether
treated for inhalant allergies alone, food allergies alone, or
both. Although the efficacy data obtained in this way must
only be considered suggestive, the paper is
evidence of the excellent safety record of EPD in the clinic.
